• We have introduced more modern texts and more diversity in our chosen authors, showcasing a global range of poetry that reaches across time and cultures.
• New songs from authors representing over 50 countries, including New Zealand/Maori, Zimbabwe, India and Egypt.
• Introducing modern work by writers such as Hone Tuwhare, Dambudzo Marechera, Iman Mersal, Sina Queyras and George the Poet plus canonical greats including William Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson and Rainer Maria Rilke.
• In response to feedback from teachers, we have grouped our Songs by theme to make the volume easier to navigate.
